Last April 29 marked the first wedding anniversary for
Prince William and his wife Catherine Middleton. The coupled spent their
anniversary in private by hanging out with their friends, which was a far cry
from the wedding they had in Westminster Abbey. British newspapers praised the
couple for reviving public interest in the monarchy.
Catherine, better known as Kate, has appeared to become a fashion trendsetter even appearing in Time magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people. “Kate the Great wins us over,” The Sunday Times said while the Sunday Telegraph said of the royal family. “It’s only been 12 months and already we wonder: how did they ever manage without her?”
After the couple’s honeymoon in Seychelles, they toured Canada and California and made many public appearances in Britain. They are also expected to make even more open appearances for the London Olympics and Queen Elizabeth’s diamond jubilee in June.

Earlier this year, Prince William spent six weeks in the
Falkland Islands where he became a search and rescue pilot. This however,
angered Argentina who claims the islands to be their own.
There has been much talk on whether the couple will produce a royal heir soon. Both however have decided not to rush into such matters, so fans would have to make do with the couple’s new cocker spaniel puppy named Lupo.
