Couples who are both into MMOGs can choose to get married both in the virtual world and the real world. Couples can invite guests (with a sense of humor and who share the couples’ passion for online games) to their "virtual wedding".
Aside from having guests, there are also wedding venues, flowers, wedding rings and even wedding packages to purchase in the game. Sony’s MMO “Everquest” introduced a wedding package purchasable with real money that includes a private wedding chapel that can fit 99 guests, magic wedding rings, virtual wedding cake and customizable flowers.

On the other hand, couple Jef and Jin Yoon remarried in World of Warcraft through their alter egos Akma and Aquma. One of the perks of online wedding? Guests who weren’t able to witness their real life wedding got to share the couple’s happiness through online instead.
