Bride-to-be Receives Winning Lottery Ticket from Groom-to-Be

A bride-to-be from Ballwin, Missouri, USA received probably the best gift in the world from her groom-to-be: a $250,000 winning lottery ticket.

Thirty-three year old Rob Russell bought his fiancee, 29-year old Tracy Rogers a "$250,000 Payout" scratchers ticket at the local QuikTrip convenience store. When they opened the scratch-off lottery ticket, they soon realized that they have just bagged the top prize.

In an interview with the local press, Ms. Rogers said that she thought the ticket was fake. To verify, she went to the store and showed it to the clerk to confirm its authenticity. True enough, the ticket was real and she received a high-five from the attending clerk.

Ms. Rogers and Russell have been together 12 years and got engaged in 2007. They have not yet set a date for the wedding. Currently the two have been unemployed for quite a while. However, the bride-to-be said that they don't think it was right to use the money on a big wedding. Instead, they would like to pay off the mortgage on their house first - one big burden they won't have to think about in their upcoming married life.
